Message from the Artistic Director

Ballet Tucson begins its 26th year with a deep sense of accomplishment
following last season’s critically acclaimed 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee.
I am especially proud of our company’s unwavering determination and am filled
with anticipation for the 2011-2012 repertoire. I believe art is mutually
transformative – for the performer and for the audience as well. Throughout the
coming season, the works that I have selected represent the ever evolving nature
of life and the arts. From the phoenix rising out of the ashes in Firebird to the
rags-to-riches tale of Cinderella, we see the common theme of transformation
which speaks to the constant change that is life.

Your steadfast support makes it possible to continue our artistic journey and our
own transformation. Join us as we carry on the tradition of presenting premier
dance performances in Tucson and Southern Arizona.
